Touring "Old Montreal" August 2019

Liz and I were in Montreal from Toronto for a family wedding in mid-August. In our spare time, we wandered the streets of Old Montreal and were amazed at how it has changed so dramatically over the past few decades. It is truly a world class destination, with its historic and architectural charm all carefully restored, and its many fine restaurants, hotels and attractions. Look forward to returning soon!

After dinner, I walked Liz back to our nearby hotel and then headed back out, camera in hand, to wander the promenade and get some night shots. This plan shows the major re-purposing of the large piers for recreation, entertainment, cultural and educational purposes. It has helped to revitalise this district, and is attracting tourists from around the world.
